ANNIVERSARY TRIUMPH OF BELAZ!

At the end of September BELAZ celebrated its 70th anniversary, hospitably opening its doors to partners and guests from different countries.

Numerous visitors (partners, customers, prospective clients, representatives of academic and commercial structures) came to Zhodino (Belarus) to congratulate BELAZ and see the new products.

The event with its unique constructive energy and rich business program impressed all visitors.

The conference panel - reports and discussion. During the Conference a number of strategic topics were discussed: "BELAZ in the future of mining", "Trends in the development of the world’s mineral recourses base", "Mining equipment and technologies", "Digital mining practice", "BELAZ role in the global markets" and others. At the Conference, several documents were signed. "BELAZ" and an American corporation - General Electric - signed a cooperation agreement regarding the local manufacturing of traction electric drives systems for BELAZ dumpers – to facilitate innovative products development and jobs creation in the Republic of Belarus.

The tech-show on the test site was great! The demonstration was held in a unique exciting pace. Large "BELAZ" trucks demonstrated excellent maneuverability, easy adaptation to work in almost any conditions, effective functionality in different slope angles and road conditions, the ability to move effectively in any direction when performing complex tasks. “Great machines! Any problem at your work site will be solved! Super demonstration ... ”- the audience of the demo show was very impressed.

The demo show demonstrated the capabilities of technology, including new products that are yet not widely known to the mining world. In particular, the 290-tonn BELAZ-75320 - with introduction of this truck, the product line of the plant now includes all load classes of the world mining dump trucks.

This 450-ton truck is included in the Guinness Book of Records. BELAZ-75710 demonstrated its tremendous abilities for a machine of such gigantic dimensions: driving in reverse, forward, “eight” and other “figures” caused particular excitement among spectators.

The 90-tonne BELAZ-7558B with a new electromechanical transmission and the BELAZ-75589, equipped with a new engine and advanced electromechanical transmission of alternating current also showed themselves quite effectively. Special attention attracted the BELAZ-7513R robotic dump truck and the BELAZ-78250 wheel loader with remote control function, which were demonstrated, among other modes in autonomous regime, after the operators (drivers) left their seats.

During the event, we spoke with representatives of various companies and international corporations. All of them talked with great respect about BELAZ achievements.

Interview with Andrey Starikov LLC “Siemens Technologies (Mining)":

Andrei Nikolaevich, it is a hardly a coincidence that you and the representatives of Siemens are here. Tell us how your partnership was developed.

- BELAZ and Siemens have been cooperating for 17 years! This cooperation in the field of mining dump trucks has a long history. The initial contacts took place in 2001, when Siemens introduced BELAZ with the latest technology of an alternating current traction drive for a mining truck. And in 2005, after a short development period, BELAZ introduced to the market the first 7560 series dump truck with a load capacity of 320 / 360mt and a Siemens alternating current traction drive. To date, in addition to the 7560 series, Siemens drives the BELAZ-75315 dump trucks with a load capacity of 240 tonns and giant BELAZ-75710, capable of carrying 450 tonns of cargo.

What would you tell about the anniversary of BELAZ?

- For the delegation of Siemens Mobile Mining, it is a great honor to take part in celebrations here in Zhodino, to emphasize the close cooperation between the two successful companies. We enjoy this amazing holiday atmosphere, the presence of hundreds of guests. The spectacular part was undoubtedly the techno-show, which strongly emphasized the design and technological capabilities of BELAZ.

Do you plan to further develop your relationship with BELAZ?

- BELAZ and Siemens will continue to cooperate in the future for the benefit of the mining market, offering joint innovative products. We cordially congratulate BELAZ with a significant date - the 70th anniversary of its foundation. We wish you all the best for the future and great success!

At the beginning of the BELAZ demonstration, a 10-meter 23-tons MANITOU telescopic truck model MHT 10230 with a tyre handler TH63+ is demonstrated to change in 5 min the very heavy wheel of one of the BELAZ dumpers - BELAZ and MANITOU plans to steadily reinforce cooperation with Manitou telehandlers recomended in Belaz Fleets Service and work on some common production.
